Secretaria de Meio Ambiente discute potencialidades de Santa Catarina para transformação de resíduos em energia

O Secretário de Estado do Meio Ambiente de Santa Catarina, Guilherme Dallacosta, participou na manhã desta terça-feira,12 de novembro, do 5º Congresso de Energia de Resíduos da Associação Brasileira de Recuperação Energética de Resíduos (ABREN), em Florianópolis. O evento, que reúne especialistas e lideranças do setor de gestão de resíduos e energia, foi uma oportunidade para discutir soluções inovadoras e sustentáveis no aproveitamento de resíduos como fonte de energia.

Durante sua fala, o secretário destacou números e como a gestão eficiente dos resíduos pode gerar soluções sustentáveis, reduzir impactos ambientais e contribuir para a matriz energética do estado. “Santa Catarina coleta, anualmente, 2 milhões de toneladas de resíduos dos seus 295 municípios. E todos esses resíduos podem ser transformados em energia limpa, por isso, estamos buscando soluções e tecnologias para reduzir a quantidade de resíduos destinados a aterros. A recuperação energética de resíduos é uma das ações que pode promover a sustentabilidade e a economia circular no estado”, afirmou Dallacosta.

Durante o congresso, o secretário também falou sobre a importância da colaboração entre governos, setor privado e a sociedade civil para o sucesso desses projetos. “Após a programação de hoje, já teremos agenda com empresas que fazem recuperação de energia a partir de resíduos. Precisamos que todos os setores da sociedade compreendam os benefícios dessa transição para um modelo mais sustentável, tanto para o meio ambiente quanto para a economia”, explicou. “O próximo passo é mapear regiões do estado que tenham maior potencial para receber usinas de recuperação energética de resíduos”, acrescentou o secretário.

O 5º Congresso de Energia de Resíduos da ABREN é um dos maiores encontros do setor e traz temas fundamentais para a sustentabilidade no Brasil, incluindo a gestão de resíduos sólidos, a recuperação de energia e os avanços nas tecnologias de reciclagem e compostagem. Além de debates sobre políticas públicas, o encontro também serve como plataforma para o compartilhamento de novas soluções tecnológicas que podem ser aplicadas em diferentes contextos regionais do país.
