Inscrições para o Pet Levado a Sério são prorrogadas por mais 30 dias

Os 11 municípios faltantes tem até 27 de setembro para efetuar a adesão ao programa

A Secretaria do Meio Ambiente e de Economia Verde (Semae), por meio da sua Diretoria Estadual de Bem-estar Animal, prorrogou as inscrições para o maior programa de castração de cães e gatos do país, o Pet Levado a Sério. Agora, com o novo prazo, os municípios faltantes tem até dia 27/09 para efetuar a sua adesão ao programa. Até o momento, 270 municípios catarinenses, – 96% das cidades elegíveis, se inscreveram para receber os recursos do Governo do Estado para os mutirões locais de castração e capacitações em políticas públicas de bem-estar animal nas suas cidades.

“Importante ressaltar que não se trata apenas de repasse de recursos. A nossa Dibea Estadual vai promover uma série de capacitações nesses municípios contemplados, visando uma aplicação correta dos recursos para uma implementação efetiva dessas ações e políticas públicas de bem-estar animal nas cidades, conforme determinado pelo Governador de Santa Catarina, Jorginho Mello”, reforça o secretário do Meio Ambiente e de Economia Verde, Emerson Stein.

Paralela à iniciativa da prorrogação, a Dibea estadual fará uma força-tarefa articulada para contatar diretamente os municípios faltantes, reforçando a importância do programa para o fortalecimento das políticas públicas de bem-estar animal nos municípios. As inscrições no programa devem ser feitas pelo site https://programas.sc.gov.br/petlevadoaserio/. Ainda faltam se inscrever no programa Pet Levado a Sério, os municípios Agronômica, Flor do Sertão, Guarujá do Sul, Iporã do Oeste, José Boiteux, Macieira, Marema, Santa Helena, Santa Terezinha, Santa Terezinha do Progresso e Sul Brasil.

A iniciativa prevê R$ 18 milhões em investimentos em 90 mil castrações em 281 municípios, – 95% do estado, até 2026. Além das castrações, as prefeituras vão receber apoio técnico e capacitação para a execução das ações previstas, como iniciativas de educação para a guarda responsável e capacitação de agentes públicos.

“Queremos fomentar a gestão estratégica da saúde animal nos municípios, que é de fato, onde tudo acontece, onde as pessoas vivem. Além da causa animal, estamos falando da saúde pública em geral, já que existem muitos riscos de zoonoses e outras consequências da presença descontrolada de animais em vias públicas”, complementa a Diretora de Bem-Estar Animal da SEMAE, Fabrícia Rosa Costa.
